It was replaced at the end of 2019 by the Peugeot 2008 II.
This first version comes in two phases:
- Peugeot 2008 Phase 1 from 2013 to 2016,
- Peugeot 2008 Phase 2 from 2016 to 2019.

In terms of engines, the choice was left for:
- petrol engine: 1.2 PureTech 82/110/130, or the 1.6 VTi 120
- diesel engine: 1.4 HDi 68, 1.5 BlueHDi 100/120, 1.6 e-HDi 92/115, 1.6 BlueHDi 75/100/120
