The different generations of Lexus IS

• The first generation (IS XE10) appeared between 1999 and 2005. With the IS 200, the IS 300. IS stands for Intelligent Sport.
• The second generation (IS XE20) lasted 7 years, from 2006 to 2013. Several models were offered: IS 250, IS 350, IS F and IS 220d for the diesel engine. The IS-F Sport appears from this generation onwards.
• From 2013 to 2020, it was the third generation codified Lexus IS XE30. Lexus now offers a hybrid and turbo engine with the IS 200t and IS 300h.
• Finally, from 2021 to today, we have the fourth generation of Lexus IS: the IS XE40. Two models are available. The IS300 and IS 350 F SPORT.

The sport version is called the LEXUS IS-F.
